Course and Start Time:
The course starts and finishes in front of the 250-year old Christ Church on Ochterloney Street and is followed by a reception and awards presentation. Race start time is 8:15 AM for both the 2-mile and 6-mile events. Chip timing and race statistics are provided by Atlantic Chip Timing.
Follow the link at the top of this page to see the course map.
Water and Refreshments:
There will be a manned water stop on the course located at the one-mile mark of the race (6-mile racers will pass the water stop three times). There will also be bottled water at the finish line for race participants, provided by Natal Day sponsor, Aquafina.
A reception and awards ceremony will follow the races, with a variety of fresh fruit, drinks, and snacks for registered participants and race volunteers.
Important Safety Information:
Much of the course is open to traffic but is well controlled by police and course marshals. Regardless, participants are responsible for their own safety.
After 9:30 AM we may lose some police support and traffic will be heavier as the number of participants on the course declines. If it will take you more than 1 hour to complete the course, please keep to the side of the road and be cautious, particularly for the last mile along Portland St and Alderney Dr. The finish line will remain open until at least 9:45 AM.
The course is too crowded to accommodate runners with dogs. Please leave your four-legged friend at home.
Please do not run with headphones or two earbuds. Participants must be able to hear vehicles and instructions from race officials and police.
Participants can pick up bibs on:
- Sunday, August 2nd at 45 Graham's Grove (Kiwanis) between 1:00PM-4:00PM
- Monday, August 3rd at Christ Church between 6:45AM - 7:15AM
